Kathie Lee and Hoda sipping bloody marys on the TODAY show may not be out of the ordinary, but last week those drinks came from Charleston, along with some big news. The dynamic duo are headed our way this March, for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival.
Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb announced this week, surrounded by food from local favorites Darling Oyster Bar and Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits, that they will be broadcasting from signature events around the city. With Al Roker holding down the fort in the Culinary Village.
A monster screen shows Rainbow Row and clips from previous festivals as they fawn over our beloved Holy City. Apparently they don’t often repeat, but Charleston is just that good.
“We are immensely proud and excited to embark on this partnership with TODAY,” Gillian Zettler, executive director of Charleston Wine + Food, said. “we look forward to showing TODAY viewers what we think makes the culinary and hospitality community of Charleston so special.”
TODAY is a leader news, entertainment, and lifestyle content and Charleston is certainly leading the way in wine and food, so it’s only natural these two would partner for this fabulous event. Coverage for Charleston Wine + Food will include on-site broadcast, digital content, and cooking demos.
You may want to jot these down if you hope to catch these two in action. You’ll find them at the following events: Bread of the South, Raising Shell, Winederlust, Smokin’ in the Boys’ Room, and A Catchy Name. They’ll also hanging around the Culinary Village the entire weekend, from March 8-10th.
For the 14th year, tickets are once again selling fas! And now that you know you’ll be in good company, if you’re planning on attending the festival from March 6-10th you can head to charlestonwineandfood.com and purchase right now!
