It’s no secret that small businesses have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
In an effort to aid small businesses through this time of uncertainty, Google recently launched a new training program for minority-owned small businesses in South Carolina. The program, “Grow With Google,” provides small businesses with tools to increase their online presence and increase clientele.
“Grow With Google” is conducted through free online sessions that take place three to five times a month.
With the help of this program, Black and Latino owned businesses have learned how to reinvent themselves and grow their business.
“Back in March, you know everyone was kind of in a panic. Once they got a strategy in place and learned some of the tools that they needed in order to get out there on social media, get out there to collaborate with others, they’ve been actually able to increase their profits more than what they thought they would need to do,” said Shennice Cleckley, CEO of Smart Cookie Coaching.
