Columbia, South Carolina will soon be the home of a new factory pumping out popular beverages – White Claw Hard Seltzer and Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
White Claw Hard Seltzer is a popular alcoholic beverage and comes in a variety of flavors including lime, black cherry, grapefruit, raspberry, and more. In an effort to keep up with the high demand for White Claw and Mike’s Hard Lemonade in the south, the companies made the decision to create this new mass-production factory.
The Richland county based factory will be located in the Pineview Industrial Park. Construction on the $400 million project will begin soon and should be completed by Summer 2021. It is expected to bring around 300 jobs to the Midlands area.
Richland County Council Chair Paul Livingston is eager to get the facility up and running after having helped persuade the company to come to Columbia saying, “once the company expressed their interest in South Carolina we showed them this wonderful site, Industrial Park, it became one of the top priorities for the company and so we persuaded every effort we could.”
