6 of South Carolina’s Best Upcoming Concerts

There’s so much happening all over the state as the summer months slowly come to a close! Some of the best upcoming events are concerts, featuring all kinds of venues that are hosting all kinds of musicians! Want to grab a beer and sway the night away? We have a concert for that. Want to chill outside and bring the whole family along? Well, we have a concert for that too!

Below is a list of six of the best upcoming concerts happening in South Carolina:

August 21: Beyoncé and Jay-Z at Williams-Brice Stadium

These world-renowned stars, who also happen to be a couple, are sharing the big stage. The next stop on their list? Williams-Brice Stadium, an arena used by the University of South Carolina football team. During this international tour, the couple is singing hit songs from the start of their career all the way to their most recent singles. If you’re looking to jam to some of your favorite 2,000’s hits and freshen up on the lyrics of recently debuted songs like “Formation”, this concert is for you. Anyone who see these two live is guaranteed to have a good time and a once-in-a-lifetime experience all in one.

August 25: 3 Doors Down at Heritage Park Amphitheater

This rock band has been going strong since 1996. Best known for their hits “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You”, 3 Doors Down has a way of making music that you can’t get out of your head. With five studio albums released, the band had a quick rise to fame but their fan-base is still strong as the group continues to play for audiences around the world.

September 6: Cherub at Music Farm

Known for their unique electronic-indie sound, Cherub rose to fame in 2010 and the duo shows no signs of slowing down. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Cherub created a style of music unlike any other. Their lyrics roll off the tongue and leave you wanting more. “Doses and Mimosas” (one of the band’s hit singles) does just that. Get ready for some head banging and let-loose while dancing the night away this September at Charleston’s Music Farm.

September 14: Atlas Road Crew at The Pour House

This up-and-coming band is releasing their second album in just a few weeks. Want to be one of the first people to hear their chords live? Hurry and grab a ticket to see the group next month at The Pour House. This venue has an indoor and outdoor bar, dog-friendly patio, and a chilled-out vibe. This casual-cool spot is the perfect reflection of Atlas Road Crew’s music and both will have you coming back for more. With unique guitar riffs that hang in the air and vocals that bring chills, this Charleston-based group deserves your attention.

September 23: Mat Kearney at Tin Roof

This American singer-songwriter is on tour following the release of his new EP, “Just Kids”. Featuring songs that reflect his love for life and those around him, the artist’s EP has become popular with a diverse audience. The most popular song on the new EP is “Better Than I Used to Be”. But Kearney is also known for his older hits, like “Ships in the Night”.  The singer has a soothing, melodic tone to his voice. Pair that with his stellar, meaningful lyrics and you have a hit. Watch out because there’s no stopping this Oregon-native as he shoots for the stars with no fear of the unknown.

October 7: NEEDTOBREATHE at Family Circle Tennis Center

Let’s hear it for these South Carolina natives! The group just released a live acoustic version of their hits from over the years and is set to drop a few EPs this fall. Going on 20 years together, NEEDTOBREATHE’s sound has never been better, clearer, or purer than they are today. These Furman University alumni continue to bring fresh sounds with their rock-band roots and soulful vocals. The lead singer’s voice will give you goosebumps and is supposed to be even better live. You’ll just have to see (or hear) it to believe it!
