5 Adventures For Your Next Date Night

South Carolina is full of fun, unique things to do that are perfect for date night. Between outdoor adventures and romantic gardens, there is no shortage of things for you and your SO to do. So, next time you and bae are planning date night skip the normal dinner and drinks and check out one of these fun spots:

Brookgreen Gardens – Myrtle Beach, SC

As a National Historic Landmark, Brookgreen Gardens is the jewel of the Grand Strand. Among the 9,000 acres of South Carolina history located in the gardens, you will find outdoor sculptures and animals in scenic enclosures, a Butterfly house, the Peace Garden Room, reflecting ponds, and hidden pathways. With plenty of open spaces to enjoy a picnic or lay back and relax. During the month of December, the gardens are transformed into a Night of 1,000 Candles. Watch the gardens come to life with more than 4,500 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights. Walk around the beautiful park with a warm cup of cider, hear the sounds of holiday music, and celebrate the season.

Charleston Harbor Tours – Charleston, SC

Charleston’s harbour is even more beautiful from the water. By witnessing its beauty from a perspective not many get to see, you’ll fall in love with its characteristics even more. Enjoy the evening alongside your significant other for a date you won’t ever forget. Check out these Charleston Harbor Tour options: Spiritline Cruises, Coastal Expeditions, and Adventure Harbor Tours.

Auto 25 Drive-In – Greenwood, SC

Movie dates can seem overdone and boring, but Greenwood’s Auto 25 Drive-In brings the past back and adds excitement to an otherwise average date. The drive-in is open on the weekends and shows a variety of movies with a classic drive-in feel. Don’t worry this drive-in has the delicious movie theater concessions, offering burgers and popcorn.

Nickelodeon Theater – Columbia, SC

Begin your night with some sweet treats at one of Columbia’s delicious desert spots: Nonnah’s, Goat’s, or Terra, then take a stroll down to historic Main Street to enjoy a movie at the Nickelodeon Theatre where you can watch the latest indie flick, a unique documentary or fall in love with a classic film all over again. Don’t forget to grab a glass of pinot or a brew of your choice to sip on while viewing!

Brasstown Falls – Oconee County, SC

If you and your partner are outdoor enthusiasts, then a hike to Brasstown falls is the date for you. It’s easily accessible and secluded, making it the perfect place for some quality time with your partner.  Hidden in the southern end of Sumter National Forest, the falls flow into a natural swimming pool, and the hike to the 120-foot breathtaking falls is less than half a mile. Once you’ve reached the falls you can find a comfortable spot to relax and let your feet get wet or dive right in.
