Move over, Pumpkin Spice. South Carolina coffee shops are roasting you with these winter specials. From gingerbread to peppermint, get your holiday and coffee fix all at once. These eight delightful (and did we mention, local?) coffeehouses are stirring the holiday cheer right into their fantastic brews.

  1. Haven Coffee House, Lexington

Stop by the only locally owned coffee shop in Lexington and try any one of their festive drinks. You’ve got a choice between White Christmas (espresso and white hot chocolate), Gingerbread Man (gingerbread and white chocolate), Summer Santa (coconut, chocolate and caramel) and Frosty’s Frappe (peppermint mocha). This “coffee with a purpose” will put you right into the holiday spirit.

  1. Watusi, Hilton Head

Hilton Head’s neighborhood coffee shop always has tons of fun specialty drinks on tap like the “sand dollar” and “s’more,” so you know they’ve got something good popping up for the winter season. Try their Peppermint Patty Latte for a cup of holiday cheer.

  1. The Daily, Charleston

Warm up with a Smoked Sea Salt Caramel Latte or Cinnamon Maple Caramel Cider. Sip while you shop at either of their downtown Charleston locations! The eatery and marketplace is full of authentic items crafted locally.

  1. Curiosity Coffee Bar, Columbia

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it will have you buzzing. Indulge in their Apple Cider Chai with a Ginger Snap Whip for all the warm and fuzzy holiday feels. Plus, it’s already made with almond milk.

  1. Tandem Creperie & Coffeehouse, Greenville

Open daily from 7am to 3pm, start your day right or beat the midday doldrums with coffee and crepes. Serving up specials like a Gingerbread Latte and Coffee Nog Mocktail, you’re sure to have a very merry day.

  1. Moe Joe Coffee, Clemson

More Joe? Yes please. This funky little spot in Clemson is “all in” when it comes to seasonal spirit. Stop by and sip on a Cinnamon Roll Latte while you finish up an assignment or late night for live music.

  1. New Moon Cafe, Aiken

If coffee isn’t your thing, New Moon has you covered. Snuggle up with their Sweater Weather Tea or a mug of hot chocolate topped with roasted marshmallows. Even if the weather outside isn’t frightful, these drinks are so delightful the last thing you’ll want to do is go.

  1. Cuppa Manna, Summerville

Although they may no longer be Single Smile Cafe, their charm and excellent coffee are sure to keep you smiling. Especially when they’ve got a Candy Cane Frappe on the menu.
