South Carolina Has Plenty of Festive Shops to Get You Ready For Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Palmetto State. Get in the holly jolly spirit at these shops!

Find everything you need to make your home feel like a winter wonderland or pick up a gift or two for friends and family. Whether you want something classic or unique, you’ll find it here!

1. Santa’s Closet, West Columbia

Turns out Santa keeps more than big red jackets in this closet. At Tropic Aire turned seasonal shop, you’ll find everything you need for the perfect Christmas tree. They have over 500 trees to choose from and all the trimmings from lights and bows to custom-made wreaths. It gets better. They even have delivery, set up and take down available and home decorators!

2. River City Christmas and Gifts, Conway

It’s a winter wonderland year round at this little shop! Ok, not so little. It’s actually two stories of items for every season and holiday. From decorations to gifts, it’s a one stop shop. Check out the handmade wreaths and bows, gourmet coffee and syrup flavors, handmade candles and other one-of-a-kind products.

3. Old Bank Christmas & Bakery, Walterboro

Grab a cup of coffee and a pastry from the bakery as you wander around this 2,700 square foot Christmas shop. It is full of unique ornaments, including ones that are made with Walterboro in mind. Once you’re satisfied with your collection, sit down for lunch at the adjoining restaurant.

4. Hyams Christmas Store, Charleston

Hyams Garden Center adds a little red to all of its green for the holiday season. Stop by to pick out the perfect tree as well as ornaments, home accents and florals. They have both live and artificial trees, including Asheville Frasier Fir, Montgomery Spruce and Kensington Fir.

5. Country Boys Christmas Shop, Greenville and Taylors

These Country Boys are all about Christmas. The garden center specializes in seasonal services but keep their Christmas shop open year-round. You’ll stumble upon unique holiday ornaments, Christmas trees, and tons of holiday decor. Sign up for their newsletter to be the first to know about their holiday open house!

6. Christmas on the Harbour, Hilton Head

Santa must vacation in Hilton Head because it’s always Christmas on this harbour!  Located in Shelter Cover, all year long the beach shop carries holiday collectibles, including handmade ornaments by local artists. Shop for yourself or find the perfect gift.

7. The Christmas Mouse, Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island

The Christmas Mouse is a southern local with eight locations throughout the southeast, including three in South Carolina. Visit either of the Myrtle Beach locations or the spot on Pawleys. You’ll get lost in their assortment of over 28,000 ornaments, decorations and collectibles. Each store has items personalized to its location.
