If you’re visiting (or live) in the Rock Hill area – don’t miss this hidden gem. While smaller than some of the plantations discussed in this post, they still boast a variety of flowering bushes and trees like azaleas, camellias, dogwoods, and wisteria.
Located in Moncks Corner, Cypress Gardens offers a different view than most – from the water! After the disastrous floods that have hit our state in recent years, they recently reopened on April 13th. They offer free boat rentals (on a limited basis) and paid guided tours!
A little less botanical garden and a little more sculptural, be sure to check out this attraction just outside of Bluffton, SC. Free-flowing, colorful sculptures can be found throughout the property and will be sure to impress. Please note their limited hours on their website
If you missed the “Flowertown Festival” this year don’t fret! You can still check out gorgeous grounds and beautiful flowers in Azalea Park just outside the commercial district of Summerville, SC.
Another hidden garden gem is “Hopelands Gardens” located in Aiken, SC. From live oaks to wetlands and even a couple fountains, this garden won’t disappoint.
